Trowell entertained East Valley today and were soon on the back foot going down to a goal after 10 mins. East Valley goal kick was allowed to bounce and clear the defence, into the path of their striker who placed his sot into the bottom corner 0-1.
After that initial shock Trowell gradually eased themselves into the game with some good passages of play. Benji and Matt had a couple of good chances that were placed wide of the net following good build up play. The equaliser came on 30 mins, Mitch played a ball into the corner for Olly to chase, he beat his marker and played a ball into the box for Matt to tap home 1-1. Trowel took the lead on 43 mins when Matt took a shot that the goalkeeper saved and Olly tapped in the rebound 2-1 . Ryan and Naylor were strong in defence through out the half and Luke made a good one on one save to keep the score 2-1 at half time.
Trowell’s confidents grew and they started to play some lovely football, with good passing and movement from all the team.
The third came on 55mins Nakeel played a nice ball to Ryan who in turn picked out Josh, he took it into the box and his initial shot was saved, but he collected the rebound to score 3-1. From here on in it was one way traffic, Trowell were relaxed and enjoying there football, great build up play from Mitch and Jack, allowed Josh to score the fourth with a lob over the rushing keeper 4-1. Josh got his hat trick soon after with another well taken shot 5-1. Goal number six came from a well-taken free kick, Nakeel placed the ball into the top right corner of the net 6-1. Benji joined in the goal fest close to the end of the match to make it 7-1.
Great team effort with everybody playing a part, the second half showed the type of football Trowell are capable of when they relax and play the ball on the ground.
