Trowell FC U18′s 2 Ruddington Colts U18′s 5

Trowell started the 1st half with some of the best football they’d played all season, with quick passing to feet and good movement of the ball. And on 2 mins, Danny played a great ball into Connor C path, he took the ball into the box and beat the goalkeeper on the near post with great shot 0 – 1. This was quickly followed with a second on 5 mins, Nakeel floated a corner into the box for Ryan to powerfully head it into the top corner of the net 0 –2. Trowel kept up there attacking play with some close efforts, but Ruddington started to ease there way back into the game. Good saves from Luke and a great recovery tackle from Charlie kept them at bay until 30 mins , Ruddington scored from a corner , the header was kept out by Luke, only for the ball to fall to a opposition player who tapped in from close range 1 – 2 .

The second half, Trowell never really got going and struggled to keep control of the ball. Ruddington attacked and on 60 mins equalised, 2 – 2. Matt had good chances to equalise straight from the kick off but hit it wide. From there on in Trowel could not gain good enough spells of possession and Ruddington took control through there main striker who quickly scored three goals to make it 5 –2 in the last quarter the game.
