Trowell FC v Arnold Town FC

Trowell welcomed Arnold Town today for our first home game of the season, the sun was shining and the pitch was in good condition so the scene was set for some good football and Trowell did not disappoint

Almost straight from the kick off Trowell attacked and won a corner as the ball swung over Mitch Williams found himself perfectly placed to flick the ball in for Trowell.

Arnold not worried by that initial shock played some good football and were rewarded in the 10th minute when indecision in the Trowell defence allowed Arnold to equalize with a well taken goal.

Trowell came back 10 minutes later following a terrific run and cross from Connor Chilton on the right, Josh West was on hand to tap home for Trowells second   Conner Chilton not content with a great assist got on the score sheet shortly after beating a defender and confidently sliding the ball past the Arnold Keeper the score remained at Trowell 3 Arnold 1 at half time.

Trowell came out strongly in the second half and saw Jake Stubbs smashed home a superb volley on 7 minutes for Trowells fourth goal. Further domination in the half resulted in Naylor smashing home from outside the area in the 30th minute to take the score to Trowell 5 Arnold 1 which is how the score remained at full time.

Well done to Charlie Worthington on his debut, he had a great game in mid field. Man of the match went to Jack Sanders who harried and chased all match and must have covered every blade of grass today.

Nice one lads keep it up
