Trowell FC v Vernon
Trowell took on high fliers Vernon today on a firm pitch at the Pit lane. Both teams played well in the first half with a few chances going begging but no goals to show at half time however Trowell did well to hold Vernon at bay especially as we had several players out with injury.
The second half saw Vernon push hard and scored within 3 mins of the start with a scorching shot from 25 yds, 10 mins later saw Trowell have a great effort from Connor Griffin cleared off the line only for Vernon to go and score again with a good shot immediately afterwards Trowell 0 Vernon 2.
The remainder of the half saw Trowell fighting hard before a tired side finally relented and Vernon manged to put 2 more passed us take the final score to Trowell 0 Vernon 4
Well done lads a brave effort, helped all the more by Man of the match Ryan Baxter whose stalwart efforts at the back helped Keep Vernon from scoring more.
