Trowell FC 7 Keyworth Utd Green 0

A short half-term break saw the Trowell boys eager to extend their unbeaten run of 4 league games.

Today they welcomed Keyworth to Pit Lane. Both teams started off slow but evenly matched but it was Trowell who grew stronger as the match progressed. Owen Waters put the home side in front midway through the 1st half. Then a high-spinning cross / shot by Bradley Holmes beat the keeper at perfect height, and on the stroke of half-time Adam Morley scored with a 25 yard shot that again beat the keeper, just dipping under the crossbar.

After half-time Keyworth seemed to allow Trowell into the game even more, and as the home side passed the ball around, goals by Jacob Browne, Charlie Sanders and a double by Oliver Severn, Trowell soon had the game sewn up by an emphatic 7-0 win (a huge score only equalled in the league by 1 other team on the opening day of the season).
