A close fought game as both teams enjoyed good spells of possession and seemed evenly matched. It was the home side that took the lead close to half-time, as Owen Waters was one on one with Blidworth’s keeper, his superb effort sent the ball into the top corner and gave Trowell the lead going into the break. Two goals in the second half seemed to put the game out of Blidworth’s grasp. A header by Ryan Malone and a strong run and delightful lob by Oliver Severn made it 3-0. Trowell’s guests then pulled a goal back, and the last 10 minutes was spent by Trowell defending and to secure yet another win for Trowell, who have now won their last 3 Sunday league games, a 1st in the boys top flight history as Trowell players.
