Trowell were glad to get back to winning ways with a 2-1 victory in this cup game at Pit Lane.

The 1st 20 minutes or so were evenly matched, but moments later after a scramble in the 6 yard box, a high dropping ball was met by Sanders who headed into goal. Trowell almost lost the lead just before half-time, but Lock parried a save and Wilde cleared the ball from the goal-line.

The 2nd half saw Trowell become increasingly agitated and the defence struggled to clear their lines, and Mansfield soon enough equalised. Harper saw his good effort saved following a run through the field. It was up to Browne who came forward from his defencive role to give the lead back to the home side, with a low drive from distance into the bottom left corner of goal. Final score 2-1 to Trowell.
