Trowell Started slowly against mid-table Woodhouse and endured some early pressure by the visitors this was soon followed by a goal by Mattl Gadsby who with Trowells first attack of the game managed to clear a defender and shoot low past the diving keeper. Now though, this was a test for Trowell as they had to hang on to their lead. But the equaliser came before half-time through a free-kick which wasn’t dealt with in Trowell’s goal area. Moments later Trowell fell behind when goalkeeper Tom Lock was lobbed from range after coming out to clear an incoming ball, Jacob Browne came close to levelling just before the interval but could only watch his effort whisk past the post, 1-2 HT
Trowell now had it all to do and continued to battle. Charlie Gough made an outstanding sliding tackle in the penalty area to clear an inevitable shot at goal by Woodhouse and Adam Morley also made a timely interception. With chances being wasted by both teams Trowell again pushed forward and left themselves exposed at the back and were later punished as they went down 3 – 1.
A lot of good passing in the second half by the home side, but at the final whistle it counted for nothing as Trowell were defeated once more.
