Trowell FC 1 Teversal 2

Trowell were up against unknown opposition today in Teversal who were top of Div 2 with maximum points and after conceding a goal within the 1st minute, the game looked to be an up hill struggle for Trowell as they let their opponents attack and gave the ball away far too many times. A 2nd goal for Teversal seemed to seal Trowell’s fate as they continued to fight their way through the 1st half.

However, the 2nd half of the game and the home team started very positively, and soon enough, thanks to a lobbed goal by Miles Hodelin, Trowell were back in the game.

All possession was now in Teversal’s half and wave after wave of attack by Trowell saw them create many chances. The home side thought they had made it 2-2 from one of many corners taken by Charlie Sanders, but the goal was disallowed following an infringement on the keeper and Adam Morley who was playing in a more attacking role than usual had a one-on-one with the keeper, but quickly ran out of room to shoot.

Trowell were by far the better team in the 2nd half of the game but didn’t help themselves in the early part of the match. 1-2 the final score.

Possession (Ball in Trowell’s opponents half) 44%

Attendance 42.
