Trowell FC 2 Long Eaton Utd 2

Long eaton started the game the strongest and had the good majority of possession although chances were few and far between as a resilient Trowell kept them at bay, just before the break Holmes won the ball in midfield and fed Jakobsen who rode the defenders challenge and calmly slotted the ball home,  1-0 HT.
Trowell came out with confidence 2nd half and were 2-0 up within 5 mins when a ball over the top was met by Brown who smashed the ball in with his left foot !! 2-0. Trowell should have been 3 up before Long eaton pulled a goal back with a powerful strike after the ball was won in midfield, 2-1. With 10 mins to go the game was anybodys with both sides pressing for a goal but it was long Eaton that snatched it after a great cross from the right was headered home, 2-2 FT.
