Trowell FC 0 Dunkirk Red 2
After a hard fought game last week against Dunkirk Trowell had the chance to put things right which was always going to be a tough test against a strong Dunkirk team. Dunkirk started much the stronger although it was Trowell with the best chance early on when Jakobsen headered a Brown corner over from close range, Dunkirk took the lead and again Jakobsen had a chance to level only to see his shot come back off the under side of the bar, 1-0 HT. Trowell came out second half with more confidence but chances weren’t forth coming and it was Dunkirk who carved a couple of decent chances forcing Hitchin to save. Dunkirk eventually made it 2-0 with only minutes remaining to finish Trowell off. Trowell squandered a good chance today against a Dunkirk side not firing on all cylinders, disappointing to see the work on the training ground wasn’t brought onto the pitch, 2-0FT
