Trowell Blue 9 Attenborough Colts 0

Trowell’s penultimate league game of the season saw them travel to Attenborough.

Credit was to be paid to Attenborough who turned up and played with a depleted squad. They showed determination throughout the game as Trowell piled on pressure and had wave after wave of attack. Matthew Green opened the scoring within five minutes and James Aldridge scored a three-minute double with the first a long range lob and the second, a superb volley at the back post. Further goals by Oliver Sharratt, Adam Morley and another by Matthew Green put Trowell six to the good at the interval.

Jacob Browne scored Trowell’s 100th league goal of the season two minutes into the second half, and Ryan Malone and Oliver Sharratt’s second rounded off Trowell’s 9 – 0 goal demolition of Attenborough. Trowell goalkeeper Tom Lock did well too, as he played a big part in the game and influenced the final score.
