Trowell opened their new season with a 4 -1 win over a battling Sherwood side, neither side managed to gain control first half with Trowell’s confident passing game going AWOL allowing Sherwood to grow and probably edge the first half. A quick talking to at half time for Trowell seemed to do the trick as Sanders opened the scoring early in the second half followed soon after by Morley to put Trowell two ahead. Sherwood pulled one back but Holmes was on hand to calm the nerves and repair Trowell’s two goal lead and Morley grabbed his second late on to secure the victory,
