Trowell travelled to Lowdham for their 10th league game of the season, hoping to make it 10/10 wins.
A bright start for Trowell as they scored after only a few minutes when a run down the right by Bradley Holmes and a cross into the home sides box was met by a short range shot by forward Oliver Severn. But Lowdham where no push-overs and immediately threatened to equalize. An entertaining game ensued as both teams seemed to be a good match for one another, and when the ball deceived the Trowell defence, Lowdham’s forward was able to round goalkeeper Tom Lock and slot home an equalizer although Jacob Browne nearly got back and cleared the ball off the goal line.
Oliver Severn then saw his effort hit the post. It wasn’t until late in the first half that Trowell once again took the lead thanks to Bradley Holmes whose shot at goal beat the keeper to his right as the ball took a couple of awkward bounces on the rutted playing surface.
The second period of the game, and again Lowdham came close to equalizing on a couple of occasions, but with the help of Lewis Beaumont and Ben Jefferys who chased an attacking player and made a very good and crucial challenge and also dispossessed him, clearing the ball down field where Oliver Severn took it and scored. What could have been 2 – 2 was now 3 – 1 in Trowell’s favour and Lowdham’s desire visibly began to disappear. Another goal for Oliver Severn (his hat-trick) and another three points for Trowell came just minutes later.
