Trowell crowned themselves Div 3 champions with a well earned victory over Pegasus who did their utmost to try and spoil the party. Pegasus made Trowellk work every step of the way with some great defending and good goalkeeping as Trowell found it hard to break through their defence. On 18 mins Matt Green found some space inside the area and unleashed an unstoppable shot to give Trowell the lead and almost doubled Trowells lead and his own tally moments later after a great through ball but was thwarted by the Pegasus keeper, 1-0 HT.
Trowell continued to be patient with some nice build up play but Pegasus stood strong and on this display it was hard to believe they were second from bottom. After a few wasted corners Trowell eventually made one count when Browne latched onto a Sanders corner and stabbed the ball home, Gough went close twice forcing two great saves out the keeper, 2-0FT.
A great performance by both sides and a fitting way to lift the title, well done boys for all your hard work this season and lets make sure we finish the rest of the season in style.
