Trowell u12′s paid Riverside a visit and had only one aim in mind, and that was another win that would see them challenge for first place in the league.
After only 3 minutes Bradley Holmes put Trowell 1-0 up, his 2nd coming only moments later. Ryan Malone made it 3 with a looping shot from all of 25 yards out. Ryan Liversidge (one of Trowell’s Goalkeepers) who was playing in midfield scored the 4th and defender Charlie Hosker found the back of the net for 5-0. Half-time soon followed, but not before Tom Lock (Trowell’s other Goalkeeper) who was playing in defence fired a low shot on his left foot to make it 6-0. First-half Goalkeeper Adam Morley had little to do, but none-the-less was instrumental in keeping his defence tight.
The 2nd half again enabled Trowell’s manager to mix his squad around, and players playing out of their usual positions capitalised on this. Bradley scored again for his hat-trick and Adam who had now moved out of goal got Trowell’s 8th. Matthew Maplestone got foward enough from his defensive area to have a strike at goal, the resulting shot beating Riverside’s Goalie. To finish Trowell’s thumping score-line, Jacob Browne who had been threatening Riverside’s goal all game scored 2.
The last minute of the match saw the home side score a consolation. Following on from Trowell’s previous meeting with their opponents (which saw Trowell thrash them 17-0), another convincing victory was secured at 11-1.
